Curtis Allgier: Inked for Murder
Crime Rant readers will remember Curtis Allgier for Gregg’s story [His Mama Must Be Proud] on the man with the face of tattoos and for the follow up interview with his wife, Jolene [The Case of the Woman behind the Tattoo].
He’s back in the news today – not for his looks – but for murder.
Here’s the snip:
A shooting Monday morning left one security guard dead. A suspect identified as 27-year-old Curtis Allgier led police on a high speed chase
through Salt Lake. He was arrested at a Salt Lake City Arby’s restaurant after injuring one employee there.
The shooting happened at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center on campus. The suspect was there for a medical appointment at 7:45 a.m.
The suspect was a prisoner who took a Department of Corrections security guard’s gun, shot him in the head and then hijacked an SUV. There were people in the vehicle at the time, but they were not injured.
He then led police on a high-speed pursuit with speeds up to 100 miles an hour. He got on I-15, then headed north on I-215. Officers finally stopped Allgier at an Arby’s at 1700 South Redwood Road.
Inside the restaurant, at least one person was shot and injured by Allgier but was able to walk out, said Salt Lake City police Sgt. Rich Brede.
Allgier was not armed when he was captured inside the manager’s office, Brede said.
A spokesman for the Utah Department of Corrections said officers routinely transport prisoners to the university for medical appointments.
“Nobody here can remember one of our officers ever being killed during a transfer,” spokesman Jack Ford said.

I’ve got my own demons, babe, and guess what? I never killed anyone. Never spent time in prison. Imagine that?! That excuse doesn’t wash. He’s a little scumbag who doesn’t have a single redeeming quality – which was abundantly evident in the first two posts.
Anyone who supports a piece of crap like this and proclaims how loving and caring and misunderstood he is, needs to have their head examined – regardless of whether they are family or some whackjob who has a thing for men who spend their lives in prison.
Recently a father turned in his own teen son for murder. I’m sure that was very difficult to have to do. But he did the right thing. Then on the other hand we have this piece of crap, and his sister and his little girlfriend defending him, enabling him, making excuses for him. It makes me want to puke! I can’t wait to see them defend him for THIS!! Justify this one. Tell us how loving and caring he is NOW!!
People who enable these assholes, make excuses for their disgusting behavior, are the reason that they are like this – NOT because of society, or some stupid shit. They don’t accept what they do is wrong, because they have no conscious and these idiots continue to tell them “oh, you’re really not a bad person. You just made a mistake, or two.”

I feel pity for you. You will have to live with the knowledge that your brother decided to take a life for a few minutes of freedom. You will have to live with the fact that you were able to forgive him, and rationalize his behavior based on what transpired in your life. If your brother really wanted your forgiveness he would have learn from his mistakes and grown from your love. At least you still have him. I hope that the family of the officer who died will be able to get past the demons of his death.

As a local weapon carrier in the area if i were in that Arby’s when he ran in i would have made it so he didn’t return to prison. The only thing guys like him need to look better is a hole between the eyes.

I was physically and emotionally abused as a kid too but you don’t see me using that as an excuse to do things like he has done.

I am incredibly sad about everything that happened today, what a waste of life. both the officer that was killed and for Curtis. He was my friend. I was never exposed to him as a violent person. He was always exceptionally respectful and soft spoken in his dealings with me. I feel like everything that transpired today is horribly tragic and I am truly broken hearted for all involved.

He was in for robbery, fraud and cutting his braclet and carrying a firearm. It is not like they didn’t realize his tendancy for escape or violence. No one carries a gun unless they intend to use it.

I hope that you are able to get through the grief and pain.
We had another case of a guy that for the last 15 years was it guys? lived a “normal” life but killed his son “Little Boy Blue” as well it is believed his wife and 2 guys in Colorado and a roommate too I think.
People that had known him in the more recent years had NO clue about his past. They were thrown into shock BIG time after he “committed suicide” (still not sure how he did that) and found this site and the stories about his past.
At least for me I support the friends that go into shock like you are because it is hard to fathom a friend doing what he did.
BTW, not mentioned in that article was the fact that he was at the hospital because of back pain. They wanted to do an mri but couldn’t with the metal cuffs on so the officer was supposed to change it to plastic cuffs. The tech said a struggle ensued and you know the rest.

You are correct. A lot of people have delusions of what their friends, spouses, lovers, siblings etc. are. I do feel sorry for people who through ignorance are friends with someone like this. I don’t feel sorry for his wife as she chose this life with him and defended his criminal actions.
I agree that he more then likely used the hospital vistit as a ploy to escape. He cut his braclet before and was caught carrying a gun, Why not go all the way this time.
I believe he deserves the death penalty. He didn’t have to kill that man. He could have knocked him out or tied him up. He was holding a gun it would not have been that difficult.

Utah’s Public Enemy Number One Arrested
SALT LAKE CITY Salt Lake County’s public enemy number one is behind bars this morning.
Curtis Allgier was arrested at a Midvale hotel early Saturday morning.
Deputies spotted his girlfriend in the area and called in the SWAT team.
Then, they say Allgier barricaded himself in his room, cut a hole in the ceiling and crawled into the attic.
He later fell through the ceiling into another room, where he was arrested.
Lt. Chris Bertram of the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s office says he’s a very dangerous person and that’s why he was public enemy number one.
“It was some of the things he was engaged in,” says Bertram. “He was a member of a white supremacist gang. He had made statements that he wasn’t willing to go back to prison. There was information gathered that he had armed himself. Anytime you have a felon armed with a parole warrant that’s a dangerous combination.”

Maybe there’s a shortage of prison guards. I know that here in Washington, they have 2,000 positions to fill in the DOC, and today it was announced that after a 6 month advertising campaign, they filled 7 positions. They advertised on billboards, bus benches, newspaper, radio, and TV. It could be that Utah and other western states are experiencing a shortage during these times of low unemployment.

I have a comment for you Michelle Grey.
You must really think life is nothing but a bowl of peaches right? You really think someone making a decision to cash a check for a lousy $300 is someone who would commit premediated murder? WRONG!! Maybe I am one of those sickos you are referring to, or maybe I am someone who gives someone the benefit of the doubt. In no way am I justifying what he did or saying what he did was not wrong. Ya, he deserves to be punished for what he did, but do you really think he deserves to die for what he did? It was a mistake, one he has outwardly said was not intentional. Seriously can you not feel somewhat bad for him?!! He was stuck between a rock and a hard place plain and simple. He was in a place getting checked for back pain, he was probably in that MRI machine relieved to know that there was not someone right around the corner waiting for a guard to turn their head so they could shank his ass. So he thinks he is going to make a run for it, what else is there to lose everyone already wants him dead… yet what he did to get there CASH A $300 CHECK!!!!! I am just genuinely saddened by everything that has transpired. My point in all of this was just that he doesn’t deserve the death penalty and that it is truely sad the justice system has failed once again. I agree with the other posting about the Utah Correctional system sending out a man of Mr. Anderson’s age to watch over this inmate. It was a terrible decision on their end and it was a terrible decison on Mr. Anderson’s end when he didn’t place those shackles on Allgier. I don’t know Allgier, I just don’t feel it was right he was judged instantly the way he was and his poor family does not deserve the lectures and blames they have received. OBVIOUSLY the check was not his only crime, but he would not have been on parole or Utah’s Most Wanted had the check thing not have happened. Either way it is done and over, it doesn’t matter what anyone here posts and says he will get what most of the public wants anyway. And you thinking I am Jolene is ridiculous, lets be serious. I have no sympathy for Jolene, she was lets say “touched”. Or a little left of center.

I read the story of Curtis Alliger and was shocked. I am a 30 something year old black woman and my first impression of his face was “wow”…I felt sorry for him because I thought how good looking her must have been to do that to his face…when you go in jail with those big blue eyes and full lips (you better become ugly real fast)…on the outside he could be another model and women would swoon over him…I can understand why he did it …his behaviour following that outside of another question…he obviously made a decision to live and therefore his way of survival was to join forces with the skinheads…prisons are about race and colour…whatever colour you are is what determines your survival and I can’t blame him for choosing a side..It sounds like him killing the guard was spontaneous and not one that was planned, therefore him nevering coming out of prison is a fair trade..he will have to live in the hell hole we call prison and trust me, it is HELL…I have known people who went in and came out someone complety different..I hope he finds peace and remorse…how he does his time now, is up to him

The truth about all of these people gone bad is that they are tricked by the Great Deceiver (Satan) into ruining their lives. He knows hell awaits Him, therefore he wants to take as many souls with Him. No one deserves the pain & torment of Eternal Hell, no one!
These people are just mislead and make bad choices, but a lot of them are also easily influenced into trying something new or different. If they feel they can escape from their reality or become larger than life from misuse of a substance, by joining a cult, gang or belief system.
No one on Earth deserves to live, God should destroy us all, but He doesn’t because He Loves us. We are sick, all of us, I mean just look at what’s on the T.V.(Tel-lie-vision)we watch it and we live it because we are it.
Don’t think you are equal to God or even close, because your not. You cannot judge one person for what they have done because you have done just as bad in God’s eyes, no sin is any less disrespectful to God than another.

Regardless of what he did and what is going to happen to him, be thankful it is not something that you did or is going to happen to you. so, as someone who personally knows Larry, let me defend him! He is a good guy. He is a great friend. He is also a typical inmate, locked up and using whomever he can to get what he wants! Jolene’s dumb ass took care of him for years, and his son…is that His fault? Nope, its her dumb ass fault! Hes out of prison now, doing his own thing taking care of himself, and guess what THERE IS NO JOLENE!!!! What a fucking surprise! Inmates use women on the outside to get what they need, money, clothes, charity, whatever! the bitch was used for years! I doesnt want her…it is what it is!

I am heavily covered by many well known tattoo ‘artists’ I am not a criminal, i do not take drugs, i have a very good career and do not support curtis whatsoever..
