David Copperfield: Can He Make Rape Allegations Disappear?
One-sided stories suck—but we need to report them. Or at least what we know about them. It appears that the FBI raided magician David Copperfield’s warehouse in Las Vegas earlier this week and seized a computer hard drive, digital camera system, and nearly $2 million in cash.
No word whether Cooperfield was there at the time and slipped out the front or simply disappeared.
The raid stems from a probe that accuses Copperfield, probably one of the most famous—if not most wealthy—magicians in the world (we still cannot figure out how he convinced a supermodel to date him, but there ya go, he’s a master illusionist).
OK … seriously speaking now, Copperfield’s own lawyer and the FBI confirmed there was an investigation in “Las Vegas and that investigators had been in contact with the magician, but declined to release further details.”
According to those who are talking, however, Copperfield uses the “warehouse—which he has referred to in the past as the International Museum & Library of the Conjuring Arts — to store tricks and memorabilia from around the world.”
It appears that 12 FBI agents were involved in the raid.
“I can say that there was investigative activity yesterday and yesterday evening in Las Vegas,” Seattle FBI Special Agent Robbie Burroughs told The Associated Press. He said the investigation was related to a case in Seattle.
That Seattle case may cause the magician some serious trouble down the road. A woman is accusing Copperfield of rape.
“The woman told Seattle police the magician raped her while she was in the Bahamas. Because the alleged incident happened abroad and the woman did not report it until she returned to the United States, Seattle authorities turned over the case to the FBI.”
When the Feds are involved in a rape case it’s pretty darn serious. Crime Rant is all over this one and will continue to report!

David Copperfield is the master of illusion. If he can make an airplane or the Statue of Liberty vanish in thin air he can surely make himself scarce. If not his fat wallet should be able to make the charges disappear.

Why would the feds sieze 2 million from his warehouse? Did she pay him to rape her?
I’m not a David Copperfield fan, but something’s not right with this story. I’m thinking that this chick has a trick up her sleeve that Copperfield hasn’t seen before.

I’m wondering if the 2 million was there as a payoff to her. Maybe there was blackmail involved and he tried to take care of the situation on his own…maybe they did spend some tryst time together, hence maybe pictures, etc. on the computer proving she had more than just a casual run-in with him in the Bahamas. Just adding to the speculation…..or maybe there is truth to the situation. One can only speculate until the truth is told.

How much is David worth? I have a sneaking suspicion that 2 mil is a mere fraction of his financial worth. Regardless, for 2 mil, I’d let him drink my bath water any old day.

Oh eew, you guys have never seen him in person apparently. He used to go to the gym I worked at in Vegas. He is seriously an anorexic. Weighs MAYBE 120lbs soaking wet. He looks a lot better in photos then in person.
Also he is a total narcissist. As for rape vs he can get anyone he wants, that doesn’t matter. Some very good looking people rape for the purpose of rape. Andrew Luster ring a bell? I don’t know if Copperfield did anything like that, but thats a bad reason for assuming he didn’t.
Waiting to hear more about these charges or if he is even charged.

Good points Melissa–rape is not an issue of someone not being able to find sex elsewhere.
I thought he was a little man, and we all know the issues/syndromes related to that.
As for the feds involving themselves in a rape case, clearly there must be so much more to it. Time will tell.

When the first stories came out my first thought was “Drug Deal”. Cash, warehouse, computer records.

I just want everyone to know that David Copperfield is definitely a rapist. He raped me years ago. I was under age, I told him no and he date rape drugged me. I didn’t tell back then. I have waited a long time for this day. I am so proud of this Seattle woman. It is a very difficult thing to come forward with. People are not very kind. I also encourage any and all women that David Copperfield might have hurt to come forward now and support this Seattle woman. David Copperfield needs to be in jail so he can’t hurt any one else.

Just read your post “B” and IF it is true, why are you wasting your time writing here on the internet where only bored people like me read it? You should be contacting the officials to tell your story to reflect on his character. I think you just need your 15 min of fame. I too know David and it is so not like him to have done this. Rape is a power thing but so is money and I think he has enough of that to have all the power he needs!

David Copperfield is definitely not a good man. I personally know the woman who identified herself as “B” she’s telling a true story. I also believe the girl from seattle, she had a horrible expierience I’m sure and most every one on this blog is being so malicious towards her.

A year and a half ago, I was in an outside flea market in Budapest up near the Hilton. Some loudmouth asshole was arguing with a girl about how much cheaper stuff was in NYC and how vendors would barter. Being a real jerk.
Later, one of our group, a little old lady about 70 asked me if I had seen DC. Apparently the jerk.. one and the same. She told me she had approached him for a photo. He had a cap on and she asked him to push it back so his face would come out in the pic. His remark to her was “Why don’t YOU open your blouse and show me your tits.”
She was extremely upset and had been crying. I’ve thought ever since this idiot needs to be knocked down a notch or two.
